Over 20 volunteers help make and distribute a cup of soup on a weekly basis, to people in Brechin who request it. Set up during Covid, there is still considerable demand and we offer around 150 portions a week and include a roll, generously donated by a local bakery. Many of those we deliver to live in more deprived areas of Brechin and consist mainly of the elderly and some young families, often with social isolation. In addition we invite those we serve to a community lunch each quarter and also interact with life skill training on food preparation for pupils in our local school.
